HVAC Mechanic

Gettysburg College is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week “ 4/10hr days) HVAC 2nd Shift Mechanic to work in the Facilities Services Department. The position performs a variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning duties to maintain, adjust, overhaul, and repair the Campus' heating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. This position also requires some basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical repairs.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least three years of progressively responsible HVAC and boiler experience. EPA certification in refrigerant transition and recovery is required. This position also requires some basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical repairs. Occasional overtime hours and other shift work may be required, such as snow removal duties, inclement weather emergencies, power outages, and some ceremonial campus events.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
