65 SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This 1st shift position is a support and service job function that focuses on execution of the Pella Quality System.
Primary elements of this role include auditing product, responding to quality issues on factory floor, documentation creation and updating, identifying root causes, and implementing improvement solutions related to the quality of the product.
PELLA CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS:
Pass drug screen.
Pass pre-work ability screen.
High school diploma or equivalency.
Pass pre-employment tests.
Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner.
ENVIRONMENT:
Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas.
Season high temperatures and humidity.
Would need to go in and out of a temperature-controlled environment and the plant floor several times in a day.
Base location for this job is in the quality lab.
However, a large portion of the job will also be on the plant floor.
ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
Regular/dependable attendance required.
Flexibility of work hours including overtime.
Able to work with and around moving equipment/machines.
Provide internal customers with support in resolving quality issues.
Identify root cause, corrective action, and implement quality improvements.
Develop and update quality control documents.
Effectively communicate quality issues to all levels of employees.
ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
Ability to rotate to other positions as needed.
Provide training to other team members on quality subjects.
Lead Project Teams.
Participate in Kaizen events and other activities as assigned.
Other duties will be assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Job specific experience is preferred.
Manufacturing experience is preferred.
